Facing immense health risks and unable to afford basic protective equipment, these workers had no choice but to continue working without proper safeguards, exposing themselves and their families to the virus.
Understanding the urgency, SWF provided over 250 street laborers with essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:
At the time, SWF was not yet a registered organization — but this initiative became a turning point. Witnessing the profound impact of a simple act of care sparked the drive to formally establish SWF and expand efforts to support marginalized communities across Pakistan.
This project stands as a foundation of our mission: to protect, empower, and uplift those in need, ensuring no one is left behind in times of crisis.

In the aftermath of the devastating 2022 floods, Sanash Welfare Foundation (SWF) prioritized an often-overlooked yet critical issue: child protection. Our founder personally visited the flood-affected regions of KPK’s Ghizer and Diamer, where families and children had taken refuge in scattered camps. Amidst the urgent need for humanitarian aid — food, non-food items (NFIs), and cash support — SWF recognized the hidden dangers that arise in disaster zones.
Drawing from previous data, we understood that child abuse, molestation, and other forms of exploitation surge in such vulnerable environments. Despite the challenges, we undertook the mission to advocate for child protection as an essential element of disaster response. Conducting awareness sessions under these circumstances was no easy feat. Families, desperate for immediate relief, found it difficult to focus on long-term safety measures. Yet, SWF persisted.
In 2023, we engaged directly with parents and children, raising awareness about the risks faced by children in displaced communities and equipping families with practical knowledge to help safeguard their little ones. These sessions served as a crucial step toward building safer environments and ensuring that the protection of children remains a priority, even amidst crisis.
Our advocacy sparked conversations, planted seeds of awareness, and paved the way for future protective measures in these communities. At SWF, we believe that no emergency response is complete without safeguarding the most vulnerable — our children.

In early 2023, Sanash Welfare Foundation (SWF) took action to provide safe drinking water to flood-affected families and children in the rural areas of Jacobabad and Jhutpat — regions devastated by the 2022 floods. Our CEO personally visited these areas, witnessing firsthand the harsh conditions faced by communities living in scattered camps, with no access to clean water.
With no institutional donor backing, SWF relied on the generosity of friends and families to fund this initiative. Thanks to their support, we installed 25 hand pumps across scattered communities, ensuring that children and their families had access to clean and safe drinking water.
One of our pilot projects showcases the full completion phase, reflecting our commitment to improving hygiene and reducing waterborne diseases among vulnerable children. Though larger NGOs with substantial funding overlooked these communities, SWF stepped in — proving that compassion and action, no matter the scale, can create lasting change.
Every drop counts — and so does every act of kindness.
In early 2024, Sanash Welfare Foundation (SWF) took a critical step toward ensuring access to safe drinking water in flood-affected areas of Jacobabad, Northern Sindh. The devastating floods of 2022 left communities in UC Nawra and UC Ramzanpur struggling with water contamination and severe health risks.
Recognizing the urgency, SWF’s CEO
In early 2024, Sanash Welfare Foundation (SWF) took a critical step toward ensuring access to safe drinking water in flood-affected areas of Jacobabad, Northern Sindh. The devastating floods of 2022 left communities in UC Nawra and UC Ramzanpur struggling with water contamination and severe health risks.
Recognizing the urgency, SWF’s CEO personally visited these regions, including scattered camps along the Sindh-Balochistan border (Jhutpat), where families and children endured harsh conditions with limited access to clean water. While international NGOs were present, many lacked proper quality control measures, leaving gaps in sustainable solutions.
To address these challenges, SWF's specialized WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) team innovated a community-driven solution: the installation of two Solarized Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plants in both UCs. These solar-powered systems not only ensure a consistent supply of clean drinking water but also eliminate the burden of electricity costs — a key factor, as the community had previously resisted projects requiring them to cover energy bills.
Through this initiative, SWF has empowered local communities with:
This project stands as a testament to SWF’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and empowering vulnerable communities — providing not just water but a path toward resilience and health. 🌱
Sanash Welfare Foundation (SWF) is launching a transformative initiative, “Nurturing Tomorrow: Integrated Child Protection Strategies”, aimed at creating a safer, more supportive environment for children across Islamabad. This pilot project focuses on awareness, education, and empowerment — engaging children, parents, and teachers to build a community-driven approach to child protection.
Key Project Components:
🌟 Awareness Campaigns: Educating children and parents on recognizing and preventing abuse, promoting personal safety, and understanding children’s rights.
📣 Parent Engagement: Offering guidance on creating safe home environments and nurturing open communication.
🎓 Teacher Training: Equipping educators with tools to identify signs of abuse, provide emotional support, and foster safe learning spaces.
🤝 Community Involvement: Promoting collaboration between schools, families, and communities to establish a sustainable protection network.
This pilot project is the first step toward a larger national effort, ensuring children grow up in environments where their safety, dignity, and potential are protected. With your support, we can build a future where every child is empowered, every parent is informed, and every teacher becomes a guardian of safety. 🌱
Sanash Welfare Foundation (SWF) is proud to introduce its upcoming project, "Chatter Champs: Overcoming Speech Delays Together," aimed at providing comprehensive speech therapy and parental support for children aged 5 to 7 years across Islamabad. This initiative focuses on unlocking the voices of children struggling with speech delays while empowering parents with the right tools and knowledge to support their child's journey.
In Pakistan, many children with speech delays go unnoticed and untreated due to lack of awareness, financial constraints, and limited access to specialized care. Without early intervention, these children face risks of developing ADHD symptoms, behavioral challenges, and even permanent autism. Unfortunately, many parents are unaware of the importance of timely therapy or are unable to afford proper treatment.
Through Chatter Champs, we aim to:
With your support, we can create a future where no child is silenced by circumstances and every parent has the resources to nurture their child’s potential. Together, let’s unlock their voices and champion a future full of words, laughter, and confidence.
Let’s make every voice heard. 🌈
In many rural communities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, adolescent girls often face nutritional neglect. Cultural norms and financial limitations lead families to prioritize the nutrition of male members, overlooking the fact that these young girls are the mothers of tomorrow. Their health today directly impacts the well-being of future generations.
Sanash Welfare Foundation (SWF) is committed to breaking this cycle through the Bright Beginnings Project — a targeted initiative to address the nutritional challenges faced by rural adolescent girls. Our aim is to:
🥦 Raise Awareness: Educate families on the long-term importance of adolescent girls' nutrition, not just for their own health but for the next generation’s development.
🥗 Provide Nutritional Support: Ensure access to nutrient-rich food and supplements, addressing key deficiencies like iron, calcium, and vitamins.
📚 Empower Communities: Equip local health workers with training to monitor and support adolescent nutrition, creating sustainable community-driven change.
By investing in these girls today, we are investing in a healthier tomorrow. Their well-being is not just a personal matter — it’s a societal responsibility that holds the power to reshape futures, one meal at a time. 🌱
Let’s pave the way for brighter beginnings and ensure no girl’s health is left behind. 💫
In the heart of Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital, thousands of casual workers toil daily to build, maintain, and sustain the city. These workers endure grueling labor while facing extreme risks to their health and safety — often without the most basic protective gear.
For many, life is a constant financial balancing act: earning just enough to cover the high cost of living in Islamabad while sending money back home to support their families. Tragically, they work without any form of health or life insurance, leaving them vulnerable to devastating consequences in case of injury, illness, or accidents.
Without proper safety equipment, these workers face:
🚨 High Risk of Injuries: Lack of helmets, gloves, and harnesses leads to severe injuries or even fatalities.
🦠 Exposure to Diseases: Handling waste, sharp objects, or contaminated materials without protection puts them at risk of contracting HIV, Hepatitis, and other infections.
⚠️ No Financial Safety Net: An accident could mean permanent disability, loss of income, and a lifetime of hardship for their families.
Sanash Welfare Foundation’s Solution:
Our proposed project, “Safety First,” aims to:
✅ Provide Protective Gear: Equip workers with essential safety kits, including helmets, gloves, masks, and protective suits.
✅ Raise Awareness: Conduct safety training sessions to educate workers on best practices and preventive measures.
✅ Advocate for Workers’ Rights: Collaborate with policymakers and industry leaders to push for better safety standards and health coverage.
Why Now?
Every day without protection puts lives at risk. A single accident can rob a family of its sole breadwinner. By prioritizing safety and dignity for these unsung heroes, we can create a ripple effect that safeguards futures and strengthens communities.
Together, let’s protect those who build our cities. 🏗️
In Pakistan, disabled individuals are often perceived as liabilities within their families, not due to a lack of potential, but because of limited access to skill development and economic opportunities. At Sanash Welfare Foundation (SWF), we believe that disability is not inability — and through our upcoming project, Skill-Up, we aim to change this narrative in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.
Many disabled individuals face social stigma, feelings of embarrassment and inferiority, and a lack of inclusive opportunities. Yet, with the right skills, they can become valuable contributors to their families’ financial well-being and achieve personal empowerment. Skill-Up is designed to provide practical, market-driven skills that unlock their potential and open doors to remote work opportunities from the comfort of their homes.
Through Skill-Up, SWF will provide:
🎨 Digital Skills Training: Graphic design, content creation, and digital advertising.
🌐 Social Media Expertise: Managing online presence, digital marketing, and community engagement.
📊 Remote Work Readiness: Freelancing platforms, project management tools, and digital communication.
🤝 Mentorship & Support: Personalized coaching, job placement assistance, and community-building activities.
Economic Empowerment: Enabling disabled individuals to earn income while working from home.
Boosting Self-Worth: Instilling confidence by transforming participants into skilled professionals.
Breaking Social Barriers: Challenging perceptions and advocating for inclusion in the digital economy.
This project isn’t just about learning new skills — it’s about redefining possibilities and creating sustainable economic independence for those often left behind.
Join us in empowering these individuals to rise beyond limitations and become true changemakers. 🌟
The Marghazar Zoo in Islamabad, once a place of wonder and learning, is now facing a silent crisis. With limited funding and poor living conditions, the animals suffer from inadequate care, substandard hygiene, and a lack of proper veterinary support. The absence of facilities that align with WWF international standards highlights the urgent need for intervention.
The Sanash Welfare Foundation (SWF) is stepping forward with a bold vision: to transform the Marghazar Zoo into a Wildlife Sanctuary that prioritizes animal welfare, climate resilience, and conservation. This initiative aims not only to improve the conditions at Marghazar Zoo but also to establish a model for zoos across Pakistan.
Project Goals:
🦁 Animal Welfare & Habitat Improvement: Upgrade enclosures to mirror natural habitats, ensuring animals have the space and environment they need to thrive.
🌱 Climate Resilience Measures: Introduce eco-friendly practices to combat rising temperatures and environmental challenges, such as sustainable water sources, shading solutions, and enriched enclosures.
🏥 24/7 Veterinary Care: Establish a dedicated veterinary unit with round-the-clock medical attention, ensuring animals receive immediate care when needed.
🌍 Conservation & Education: Position the sanctuary as a hub for education and wildlife preservation, raising awareness about the protection of endangered species and the delicate balance of ecosystems.
🔍 Hygiene & Sanitation: Implement rigorous cleaning protocols to maintain healthy living conditions, preventing the spread of diseases and ensuring visitor safety.
🤝 Community Engagement: Involve local communities, volunteers, and schools in conservation activities, creating a sense of ownership and advocacy for animal rights.
A Future of Hope:
This project goes beyond just upgrading a zoo — it’s about creating a safe haven for animals, educating future generations about the importance of conservation, and laying the groundwork for a network of sanctuaries across Pakistan.
With your support, SWF will give these animals the care and dignity they deserve while building a sustainable model that protects both wildlife and the environment. Let’s come together to make Marghazar Zoo a beacon of compassion, conservation, and climate resilience. 🌍
