Geographical Selection

  Sanash Welfare Foundation (SWF) maintains a strong and expanding operational presence across Pakistan, with demonstrated capacity in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). Our geographical strengths reflect both established operations and scalable engagement models adapted to regional contexts. 

National Coverage Overview

 SWF operates through a decentralized yet coordinated model, enabling consistent program quality while remaining responsive to local needs. Our core operational functions—ranging from needs assessment to accountability—are implemented across multiple provinces with varying depth, maturity, and scalability.  

Regional Operational Capacities

Islamabad & Punjab (Core Operational Hubs):

Islamabad and Punjab serve as SWF’s primary strategic and administrative hubs. These regions host:

  • Community consultations and stakeholder engagement
  • Strategic planning and organizational governance
  • Financial management and compliance functions
  • Full-cycle program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation

These hubs support national coordination, donor engagement, policy advocacy, and quality assurance across all regions.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) & Sindh (Strong Programmatic Presence)

 SWF maintains a strong field presence in KPK and Sindh, with robust capacity in:

  • Data collection, needs assessments, and analysis

Community consultations, public engagement, and stakeholder coordination are under expansion, with structured scale-up planned based on contextual access and partnerships.

Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) (Humanitarian & Community Focus)

 SWF has an active and growing presence in AJK, characterized by:

  • Monitoring, evaluation, and advocacy
  • Resource mobilization and stakeholder engagement

AJK remains a priority geography for disaster preparedness, resilience, and community-based interventions.

Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) (Assessment-Driven Engagement)

 In Gilgit-Baltistan, SWF has established capacity in:

This geographical mapping reflects SWF’s commitment to inclusive development, humanitarian response, and environmental sustainability across all regions of Pakistan.  

Nationwide SDG Coverage Overview

 All core thematic areas of SWF are actively implemented across every operational geography, demonstrating strong national reach and institutional capacity to deliver integrated, multi-sectoral interventions.  

Islamabad & Punjab

Serve as strategic and operational anchors, supporting full-spectrum SDG implementation including policy advocacy, livelihoods, education, WASH, environmental action, and emergency preparedness. These regions also host coordination, planning, and partnership functions.  

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK)

A key region for humanitarian response, child protection, food security, livelihoods, and climate resilience, with strong community-based programming aligned to SDGs 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 13, and 16.  

Sindh

Focuses on poverty reduction, education, health, gender equality, WASH, and environmental sustainability, addressing both urban vulnerability and rural deprivation through integrated SDG programming.  

Balochistan

A priority geography for multi-dimensional SDG action, including emergency response, food security, education access, clean water, livelihoods, and environmental protection—targeting underserved and hard-to-reach populations.  

Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK)

Strong implementation of disaster preparedness, community resilience, education, WASH, livelihoods, and environmental conservation, aligned with the region’s disaster-risk and ecological context.  

Gilgit-Baltistan (GB)

Focused on climate action, biodiversity protection, livelihoods, education, and disaster readiness, responding to climate vulnerability and geographic isolation while ensuring inclusive access to services.
